Salem’s Sanctuary is opening a low-cost, nonprofit veterinary hospital this summer right here in Waynesville —focused on making care financially accessible for both pets and community cats.
This isn’t corporate-owned care.
This is patients over profit.
Every day, we see cats and dogs go without care simply because it’s too expensive. Community cats continue to multiply. Injuries go untreated. Preventative care like flea/tick and vaccines gets skipped. We’re changing that.
This clinic will provide:
Affordable spay & neuter for cats and dogs
Low-cost vaccines and flea/tick prevention
Affordable treatment for injuries and common conditions
Dental care and advanced procedures at a fraction of corporate prices
Dedicated care for community cats
Our goal is simple:
Make veterinary care accessible to every pet, every stray, and every community cat—no matter the situation.
We’ve already helped thousands of cats and supported hundreds of caretakers—but we need this hospital to truly meet the needs of our community.
